Morning coffee at the kitchen island before a hike into the White Mountains, or a slow stretch in the sauna after a day on the slopes. The Cottage at Riverwood is built for that kind of stay: a two-bedroom house with an open living, kitchen, and dining area, and a raised sitting room with fireplace to one side. A king bedroom, a bunk room with a full lower and twin upper, and a sleeper sofa sleep up to seven, with one full bath, one half bath, and a washer and dryer. Outside, a private grill area, seven-person hot tub, and traditional sauna sit just off the house. Guests also have access to Riverwood’s shared wellness area: a wood-fired sauna, cold plunge, salt water hot tub, and a fire pit ringed with Adirondack chairs. Follow the Confluence Trail from the back of the property and you’ll land on a quiet stretch of river, smooth stones and a small sandy beach, right where the Ellis and Wildcat come together. Jackson has drawn people to this spot since the 1800s, one of New England’s first mountain resort towns. The 1876 covered bridge still marks the village entrance, and the White Mountains rise right outside your door, trailheads and ski touring just minutes away. Guests have full access to their private cottage, private 7-person hot tub, & sauna, Your group also has access to the property’s shared wellness area, shared with guests staying in the two other rental buildings on site - this space includes a sauna, cold plunge, fire pit, a 7-person hot tub, and a meditation space. The Gear Garage is also available for storing and prepping ski, bike, and outdoor gear before hitting the trails or slopes, and the Confluence Trail and riverfront are open to all guests as well. Prior to your arrival, you’ll be provided access to your digital guidebook, which includes everything you need to plan your dining and activities in the area, along with specifics about the property and answers to frequently asked questions.
