The Inn at Riverwood is a reimagined Victorian dating back to the 1880s, once part of the historic Hawthorne Inn that helped put Jackson on the map as one of New England’s earliest mountain resort towns. Set on over five acres at the confluence of the Ellis and Wildcat Rivers, the property carries that history forward through eight generously sized bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bath, spread across three levels: a king suite on the ground floor, three more king rooms plus a bunk room upstairs, and a king, a queen, and a second bunk room on the top floor. The house sleeps up to sixteen comfortably, making it a natural fit for reunions, weddings, milestone birthdays, retreats, or any group that wants real space without giving up warmth. The Confluence Trail leaves right from the property, tracing over 1,000 feet of river frontage past glacial erratics and towering pines to the spot where the Ellis and Wildcat meet, ground that was once home to Riverwood’s horses. From there it’s a one-minute walk to the Jackson Covered Bridge and three minutes into Jackson Village for dinner, coffee, or a round at the historic Wentworth Golf Club, whose fairways border the property. In winter, the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation’s groomed Nordic trails start just outside the door, and Black Mountain, Attitash, Wildcat, and Cranmore are all a short drive away. Your group has full access to their private Inn, deck, and 7-person hot tub and pool. Your group also has access to the property’s shared wellness area, shared with guests staying in the two other rental buildings on site - this space includes a sauna, cold plunge, fire pit, a 7-person hot tub, and a meditation space. The Gear Garage is also available for storing and prepping ski, bike, and outdoor gear before hitting the trails or slopes, and the Confluence Trail and riverfront are open to all guests as well.
